Decibel-PR is a London based agency with a global reach specialising in Digital Entertainment, specifically Videogames and related tech. With over 22 years experience working in-house for AAA publishers such as Capcom, Bethesda and THQ, we know Games PR inside out. 

We are currently working with a diverse range of clients including independent development teams such as Bossa Studios, Playrise Digital, ShareMob, ROTO VR, with PR and Marketing agencies such as Lick PR, Brown-Betty PR, Bope PR, Press Space, Identity Spark, Wild Card, Virtual Umbrella and publishers of all sizes including Marvelous Europe, Harmonix, Square Enix, Warner Bros, Koch/Deep Silver and SEGA.

Excitingly enough, we were nominated as a finalist for Pocket Gamer's Mobile Games Awards 2022 in the Best PR & Marketing Team category for our work on Marvelous Europe's Story Of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town and for MCV's 'Best Boutique PR Agency' category at MCV Awards 2019 for our work with Bossa Studios on the Worlds Adrift PR campaign.

Our principal director is a videogame and entertainment PR with over 22 years experience in the games industry. Having had the honour of working at the highest level on some of the most successful titles ever released, Sam Brace and team are now directing campaigns for various indie dev studios and publishers of all sizes, helping to get high profile press for new games across all formats, console - mobile and beyond games into Tech. Directed and implemented the global Marketing and PR campaign for all Playrise Digital’s titles generating assets (trailers/screenshots/press releases etc), then implementing front line coverage placement personally with incredible results in all sectors.

Consulted on Still Alive Studios ‘Son Of Nor’ Kickstarter campaign which lead to successfully raising £150k funding through Kickstarter April - May 2013. Also executed a number of research projects for Super M’s various clients.

Directly managed PR activity for THQ on AAA console titles: UFC 3: Undisputed, UFC Personal Trainer, WWE 2012/13, WWE All Stars, Darksiders II, South Park and Fantastic Pets.


Surpervised THQ’s showing at E3 2011, Gamecom 2011 and bespoke press events autumn 2011 as well as personally orgaising press trips to various WWE and UFC events.


Built and maintained close relationships with Global PR leads, in-house and owned studio development persone.

(Exclusive contract on Lunch’s Bethesda account working in house at Bethesda Europe).


Instrumental in the planning and implementation of the European PR and Marketing schedule for Fallout 3, Brink, Wet and Rogue Warrior.

Provided distribution partners in individual territories with tailored plans, asset schedules and timelines.


Responsible for internal communications liaison in weekly calls between Europe and DC office.


Managed all external lifestyle PR agencies Europe-wide.


Heavy involvement in all teaser trailer creation, artwork direction and distribution planning.


Organised key events on the Fallout 3 campaign including European press tours, exclusive press trips to Bethesda’s offices in Washington DC, Ubidays (Paris), E3 (Los Angeles), Leipzig and the Australian press tour.


Achieved 96 Fallout 3 specialist press front covers in 10 months, huge online presence and weekly news coverage across all top videogame sites and blogs in Europe.


Maintained a comprehensive contact list and managed communication with all top publishing houses across Europe and Australia.


Maintained excellent relations with all 3rd party dev studios and Bethesda’s own in-house development team.

UK PR Manager - Capcom
March 2002 - March 2007


From 02-05 Capcom held a very small team, we managed the entire marketing side of the European business with only six people which exposed me to a very broad range of situations and provided an invaluable education in how the videogames industry operates at all levels.


Instrumental in the creation and implementation of strategic marketing planning at the highest level from very early on in my career at Capcom.


Presented all Capcom releases to various press, sales and marketing people at many different international events and conferences.


Managed Capcom’s presence and looked after press at worldwide conferences such as Tokyo Game Show Japan, E3 USA to many bespoke trips in addition to various destinations all over Europe and Australia.


Worked alongside the marketing services department to ensure all assets and product artwork were tightly aligned with product requirements.


Managed external PR agencies on all AAA title campaigns including Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Resident Evil (all titles up to 5), Devil May Cry (all titles up to and including 4) and many more.


Managed to successfully run campaigns on tight budgets in cooperation with the central team.


Maintained excellent relations with Capcom US office and Japan’s R&D department in Osaka and the international business office in Tokyo.


My relationship with the press was and still is second to none and I maintain many close friends at the highest level in publishing across the world.


Effectively managed the Marketing Assistant’s time and delegated jobs to them as I saw fit.
