Fleur De Paris set to headline Twinwood Festival 2014

18th August, 2014 – London, UK – Fleur De Paris are thrilled to announce their main stage debut headline show at this year’s Twinwood Festival. The 5-piece chanson and swing outfit led by the authentically French, velvet vibrato and full blooded tones of Lo Polidoro, evoke dimly lit café’s, and the underground cabaret clubs of wartime era Paris. The band are set to play the main stage headline slot at 4pm on Sunday 24th August, 2014. Lo has also been chosen as the face of Twinwood 2014 and appears on the front of all the festival marketing materials.

Fleur De Paris will also appear for two further special performances at Twinwood Festival at 10pm on Saturday 23rd and 10pm on Sunday 24th, both at the more intimate Café du Bois Jumeau.

Fleur De Paris’ live show features beautifully evocative arrangements of classic hits by heavy weight French singers such as Lucienne Delyle, Charles Trenet and Edith Piaf with a touch of the Hot Club sound of Django Reinhardt thrown in for good measure. Audiences are effortlessly transported back in time with the heady combination of accordion, violin, guitar and double bass authentically capturing the orchestral magic and smooth cinematic jazz of early to mid 20th century Paris.

2014 has already been a busy year for Fleur De Paris with extensive touring and gigging around the South of England and France. With one album already under their belt, the band are now looking to return to the studio to record a second record full of classic gypsy jazz, romantic waltzes and characterized by that uniquely French ability to fuse dream filled hope and crushing heartbreak into one agonizingly dramatic sound.
