Dragon’s Watch roars onto app stores this December!

London, November 22 2017: The Secret Police, the London mobile game studio backed by some of gaming’s biggest names including Ian Livingstone and Hayao Nakayama today announces the December 7th launch of 'Dragon’s Watch', a magical, tactical battle RPG for Apple and Android phones.

Dragon’s Watch is a free-to-play, turn-based, character collecting RPG. The game transports players to the realm of Kagria, where the Dragon’s Watch, the guardians of the sacred peacekeeping dragons, have been possessed by the forces of evil. Taking a squad of 6 Heroes into battle, players have intuitive and strategic control via a unique new interface called the ‘Revolver’.

We’re huge fans of tactical RPGs like Brave Frontier, Summoners War and Fire Emblem Heroes,” commented co-founder Harry Holmwood, “as well as western card battlers like Hearthstone and, of course, Clash Royale. We set out to make a game with all the depth of those hardcore Asian titles but with the tactile, user-friendly experience that western players love. We’re really excited to be bringing Dragon’s Watch to the world, and hope they love it as much as we do.

Key features include:

  • Unique, tactile and intuitive ‘Revolver’ battle mechanic gives strategic depth to combat.

  • Over 700 heroes to collect, fuse and evolve, each with their own skills, stats and magic attacks!

  • Go head-to-head with real-time player-vs-player battles in the Arena!

  • Daily, weekly and monthly events.

  • Play even when offline - you don’t always need to be connected to the internet

  • The ‘Watch’ - idle game system sends squads on quests even when you’re not playing!

  • 14* story regions, each with dozens of quests, daily Vortex dungeons AND SOMETHING ELSE

As a launch reward, those who play in the first week, from December 6th onwards, can enter a unique quest which will reward them with an ultra rare Hero - a bonus which will never be available to players again! Those pre-registering at www.dragons.watch will also receive free items after the game launches.

The Secret Police was founded by Harry Holmwood (Sony/Pure/Marvelous) and Ric Moore (Bossa/Endemol), with big-name backers including Chairman Ian Livingstone CBE (Eidos/Tomb Raider/Games Workshop), Hayao Nakayama (former Sega CEO and Marvelous founder) and Finn Brice (Chucklefish founder/Starbound developer/Stardew Valley publisher).

Dragon’s Watch initially supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Korean and Japanese.
