  • The system can be tested exclusively in a show car at IAA.

  • The managing director of beyerdynamic, Andreas Rapp, and the Arkamys team will also be on site to answer questions and discuss the project.

Heilbronn/Levallois-Perret/Munich, September 5, 2025 – Is this what the in-car experience of the future will sound like? Arkamys, the global leader in advanced automotive audio software, will showcase their premium audio sound system at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, featuring beyerdynamic’s distinctive branding and sound signature. The Heilbronn-based audio specialist has contributed its more than 100 years of audio expertise to the project to bring immersive premium sound into the car. At the Arkamys booth, interested visitors can experience the prototype of this collaborative sound system and let the audio dimensions take effect.

How Arkamys and beyerdynamic create synergies

The unveiling of this concept at IAA Mobility represents a forward-thinking approach to automotive entertainment from both beyerdynamic and Arkamys. The premium sound system combines Arkamys' premium audio solution engineered to deliver high-quality sound across all vehicle types with a sound design grounded in beyerdynamic's superior quality standards. This partnership has resulted in acoustics that impress with spatial depth and remarkable attention to detail.

The system utilizes the vehicle's existing head unit, amplifiers, and speakers, employing centralized architecture and real-time tuning to tailor the audio to the specific acoustics of each car. Arkamys has customized its demo to offer sound profiles that can be easily adjusted, allowing testers at the IAA to choose from three exclusive sound modes: studio mode, podcast mode, and a customizable live mode that provides an exceptionally immersive listening experience. Users can adjust parameters such as bass intensity and balance between immersion and studio sound to enhance their listening pleasure.

The next logical step for beyerdynamic

It is no surprise that beyerdynamic is now entering the world of automotive audio. Instead, the audio specialist is following a proven philosophy: throughout its more than 100-year history, the company has repeatedly ventured into new areas to provide tailor-made audio solutions. The portfolio ranges from microphones to high-quality headphones that set new standards in the studio, on stage, on the go, and for gaming. The unique sound signature of beyerdynamic can be experienced in almost every situation of daily life. The transition to the first in-car audio concept adds a new facet to the subject of mobility.

Andreas Rapp, managing director of beyerdynamic, adds: "The collaboration with Arkamys gives us the opportunity to transfer our expertise to the automotive sector for the first time. For us, this is an exciting step into a new field – and a glimpse of how the in-car experience could develop in the future."
